Throughout the 8-day holiday of Chanukah, the streets of Berlin were brightly lit up with ten 15-foot tall menorahs around the city in many populated areas, in addition to the over 500 bus stops which featured advertisements for a large central menorah lighting. More then 300 people attended a huge Chanukah party of Israeli Community Foundation – Light Chabad, Budapest, Hungary. There was a magnificent banquet at a hotel Inter Continental hall. The evening began with Shliach Rabbi Baruch Aovrlndr and Chief Rabbi Herbie of Congregation D. Hungary explaining about the essence of the holiday and its meaning relevant to this day. Shliach Rabbi Shmuel Raskin lit the Menorah.
For the first time ever, the Staples Center – home stadium for the Los Angeles Lakers, Clippers and Kings – hosted a grand menorah lighting right before a Clippers game. In front of tens-of-thousands of fans, Rabbi Moshe Greenwald, Shliach of Downtown Los Angeles, lit the menorah which was followed by a thunderous round of applause as thousands of Jewish fans expressed their appreciation to Rabbi Greenwald. Also in attendance at the menorah lighting were neighboring Shluchim rabbis Dov Wagner, Nachman Abend and Simcha Backman. This was a major kidush hashem and kidush shem lubavitch.
The 4th candle of Chanukah Menorah was lit in the Victorian Parliament House by the Shliach of Chabad of the Melbourne Central Business District (CBD), in attendance were the Deputy Premier of Victoria Rob Hull and the leader of the opposition Ted Baillieu, as well as other ministers and members of parliament and leaders of the Melbourne Jewish community.
The climate Conference in Copenhagen is now over, and with it the Chanukah activities at Chabad of Denmark. With 50,000 participants from the world over, 120 world leaders, lots of protesters and of course media personnel, there was a fair amount of Jewish participation at this 2 week long summit.

More than 500 people attended the main Chanukah Menorah lighting held last Friday night, with nearly 400 people staying for the Chanukah Shabbos meal at the Chabad House. Throughout the holidays were Menorah displays around the city, with the help of students and the local Shliach.
Chabad of Antalya, Turkey, headed by Shliach Rabbi Menachem and Shira Litzman, organized over 10 Chanukah parties in hotels all over Turkey for thousands of Israelis. There were also parties held for the locals living in Antalya. Menorahs were distributed at the airport. The even conducted some home visits for the really remote jews who could not travel during the holidays.
Freezing weather in Seoul, South Korea didn’t dampen the Jewish communities celebration of Chanukah conducted by Shliach to Rabbi Asher Litzman.
Over the eight days of Chanukah, the tireless and dedicated released time instructors visited their students in their homes, bringing the joy and beauty of Chanukah to each one of the children’s families. They lit the Menorah with the children and their families, played dreidle and distributed doughnuts and Chanukah gelt. Additionally, they put up Mezuzos in those homes that didn’t have one yet.

Shul in the Park which is a part of Lubavitch Scotland had a extremly succesful with over 140 people attending the Chanukah party & celebrations at the Shul organised by Rabbi Mendel & Tzirl Jacobs together with Stanley Bernstein. Everyone enjoyed t shirt desiging, Wooden Menorah & Dreidel making, Chanukah Menorah Lighting by Rabbi Mendel Jacobs. Tzirl Jacobs made the Latkes, home made soup, extra large jumbo hot dogs & chips along with donuts were enjoyed by all. Everyone got a box of donuts & a Chanukah goodie box to take home. There was a great mix of age groups from babies to senior citizens with many residents from Burnfield Care home joining the event.
