ISRAEL — Police neutralized two explosive devices found separately in Yavne and Kfar Chabad on Tuesday.

The devices are not linked and are believed to be criminally-motivated, a police spokeswoman told The Jerusalem Post.

PETA Targeting Kappores, “Use Gelt, not Guilt”

A confrontation between a black woman and a Lubavitcher girl on a subway ended with the theft of a cell phone, and a later attempt to retrieve it yielded a ransom request by the woman from the earlier confrontation. The victim thought of calling Shomrim, but didn’t at first thinking that it wouldn’t be right to trouble them with such a trivial matter, but later called and together they retrieved the phone. The following letter was sent to us by the victim:

To the Shomrim of Crown Heights:

I am writing this letter to express my thanks for what Shomrim did for me this week.

My phone was stolen, and I soon had given up hope on ever retrieving it. That was only until I decided to call Shomrim of course.

Inconsiderate Parking

A reader sent in the following photos of a Jewish owned minivan with Quebec license plates blocking a buildings multi car garage. The car was parked the night before and remained parked there throughout the Tuesday, blocking access to the 23 parking spaces underneath the building.

Subsidized Kapores Today, $4 Chickens

Toronto has a Softball League, and the Lubavitchers Won!

TORONTO, Canada [CHI] — Last night, September 21 the Lubavitch softball team of Toronto won the Bnai Brith Championship. Led by Shua Cole, Ari Weiss, Shmuli Wachtel and Nachman Forer and generously sponsored by State Farm Insurance, Lubavitch went 4 and 0 in the playoffs to capture the crown for the first time. When asked about prospects for next season all team Captain Ari Wiess had to say was “I just want to enjoy the moment”.
