CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — Parents gathered Wednesday night in the ballroom at Oholei Torah for a ‘fascinating and inspiring’ seminar on parenting and Chinuch, led by renowned Mechanech, and behavioral therapist Rabbi Yaakov Shputz.
ISRAEL — A new building in the enlarged and improved Grabski Multiple Sclerosis Center in Migdal HaEmek was inaugurated this week in a ceremony attended by Welfare Minister Yitzchak Herzog. The center is Israel’s first and only dedicated residential and outpatient center devoted exclusively to patients suffering from Multiple Sclerosis, a degenerative disease that ultimately leads to complete incapacitation.

When Rabbi Yosef and Rochel Levertov moved to the Lone Star state in 1984, its capital, Austin, had only a fledgling Jewish community. Initially, the couple’s mission was to serve the student body of the University of Texas (Jewish population: 4,000). Since then, they have expanded their efforts to include the greater Austin area, and have hired a young rabbi a (UT alumnus) to serve as the campus representative.
