ENGLAND — The place is overrun with books, scatterered in wobbly towers across tables and too numerous for the stacks that are meant to contain them. For years, a cramped room in Lubavitch HQ in Stamford Hill has been home to the country's largest Jewish lending library.

But Department of Finance clerk Karen Frazier wasn't only scamming the city — she was scamming her customers, too, prosecutors charged yesterday as the unhappy-looking alleged ticket-tamperer was hauled into court in cuffs.
Frazier would promise her customers she'd “take care of” their problem, but typically left them saddled with nonpayment penalties on top of their original, still-unpaid tickets — in worse shape than before they had met her, prosecutors said.

MORRISTOWN, NJ [CHI] — On Monday, the 12th of Iyar, a grand Siyum Harambam took place in the Berger Auditorium in the RCA, Tomchei Temimim of Morristown New Jersey. The event was organized by the students of Tomchei, with the assistance of the members of Hanhala.
Around 200 supporters came together at the federal courthouse in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to show support for Sholom M. Rubashkin, whose hearing on sentencing is taking place over the next two days. After a day of testimony the group stopped and Davend Mincha in the Courthouse parking lot.
