With violent anti-government protests flaring just two blocks away from the most active Jewish community center in Thailand, officials Saturday night were advising locals, visiting professionals and tourists to stay away from the government compound in Bangkok.

Chabad of Melbourne CBD's Rabbi Chaim Herzog has been appointed chaplain of the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) city campus. Rabbi Herzog said the role was particularly important for overseas students studying at the university. He was inducted by Riad Galil, who works on the campus in the area of student services.

Moved by a powerful sense of humility and worthlessness, two spiritually accomplished mystics were observed rolling on the floor while repeatedly affirming their sense of worthlessness.

The true extent of their humility was not quite known however, until, to their chagrin, an individual of far lesser spiritual status decided to join them.

With rolling eyes, the mystics were overheard whispering to each other in utter disgust: “Look who thinks he’s nobody!”

“If you do His will only because it makes sense to you, then what has it got to do with Him? You are doing ‘your will’. You’re back in prison.” (Tzvi Freeman – Bringing Heaven Down To Earth)

“Spirituality” has got to be the most misused term in the human lexicon. It’s a word that could describe just about anything you want, from a spectacular sunset to a moving operatic rendition. It means as many different things to as many different people.

“Time Capsule” Placed in Foundation of New Chabad Campus

AGOURA HILLS, CA [CHI] — In a unique ceremony on Tuesday morning, March 23rd, friends and supporters of Chabad of the Conejo gathered at the construction site of the organization’s future community campus on Canwood Street to celebrate the completion of the historic project’s foundation. While groundbreaking ceremonies and dedication celebrations are more commonplace, a “Foundation Celebration” is a bit of an anomaly. But then again, Chabad of the Conejo – an educational, outreach and social service organization serving the greater Conejo Valley Jewish Community – has a long history of doing things in an unconventional and innovative manner.
