Los Angeles, CA [CHI] — More than 4,000 men, women and children joined Chabad at Schneerson Square in Los Angeles. Pico Boulevard was closed between Doheny and Crest for Chabad’s massive Lag b’Omer Unity Street Fair and Concert. A project of “Chabad Youth Programs” of Chabad Of California, the festivities commenced at 10:30 am with a parade down Pico Boulevard that included flag-waving children, a real marching band and colorful parade floats built by local schools and organizations.

A 21-year-old Crown Heights Bochur died Sunday after his jet-ski collided with another near the Courtney Campbell causeway in Tampa Florida. The Bochur, Nosson N. Deitsch was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

MORRISTOWN, NJ [CHI] — A bus traveling into Crown Heights from Pittsburgh to attend the Lag BaOmer Parade was involved in what is reported to be a serious accident on the Interstate 78 in New Jersey.

The Food and Drug Administration said Saturday it was investigating a health-care company for possible other problems following its recall of more than 40 over-the-counter infant’s and children’s liquid medications.
McNeil Consumer Healthcare, based in Fort Washington, Pa., issued the voluntary recall late Friday in the United States and 11 other countries after consulting with the FDA. The recall involves children’s versions of Tylenol, Tylenol Plus, Motrin, Zyrtec and Benadryl, because they don’t meet quality standards.
NEW YORK, NY [WCBSTV] — A police investigation after a car fire was disrupting traffic, both on the roads and the sidewalks, well into Sunday morning in Times Square.
Officials said there were no injuries in the car fire, but that there was a suspicious package in the vehicle’s back seat.
With sadness we inform you of the passing of Mrs. Pearl (Perel Raizel) Goldstein of Crown Heights at age 90.
Mrs. Goldstein is survived by her children R. Yankel Goldstein (Crown Heights), Mrs. Leah Drizin (Aventura, FL), and Mrs. Feigy Itkin (Hamilton, Ontario).
