Rabbi Shea Hecht Thanks Supporters in Election

In a letter Rabbi Shea Hecht emailed to CrownHeights.info, he thanks all the residents in Crown Heights who supported him. He goes on, saying, he respect the communities decision and wishes the new Vaad Hatzlocha.

B”H

Thank You

To all residents of Crown Heights who supported me and shared my vision of bringing a new change to our community – I thank you.

Yesterday, the residents of Crown Heights voted for those they wish to serve as members of the Jewish Community Council. While it was my hope to serve the community in this position, I respect the outcome of the elections. I would like to wish the new vaad much Hatzlocha.

I will continue to do all I can to serve the Crown Heights Community.

Wishing everyone a safe and enjoyable summer.

Shea Hecht

Shiye, we love you! and all know the amazing work you do for the people in the community.

I have friends that personally tell me all the help you gave them in their time of need, you are such a asset to the community you don’t need any titles like Vaad hakohl to continue doing all the amazing work you do.

Personally, I saw a little too much entitlement there to make me want to vote for him …

Now that a new Vaad was elected, we would like to see those who are capable but were not elected, supporting them.

Let’s see Shea Hecht and Chanina Sperlin helping the Vaad in everything they can.

Shea, while I voted for you twice – and think the community lost an opportunity – I believe that YOU won out by losing the election. CH has become an eretz ocheles yoshveho and you will do better by working through NCFJE.

    Rabbi Hecht
thank you for wanting to help us.
shame on this 96 who know that you are the best but gave a vioce to the excuse of a men .
this are the downfall of ch the poischim al shnei haseifim
now this new vaad show me what you gut .

  • bummed

i’m just bummed that I didn’t get my ‘vote for shea’ yarmulke…

  • Yungerman

I voted for Shea twice. But now I’m thinking, the Rebbe always separated Lubavitch from the community. Maybe, as one who serves as an official Lubavitch representative, he is not meant to serve in a community capacity. Just a thought.

Lets say it the way it is, Hackner does not have 5 minutes of political knowledge behind him, neither does Zaki Tamir. And Bronstein is a accountant who already told us that Rabbonim mean NOTHING to him!!!!!!!!

Half the voters say clearly they feel he is a representative off all the terrorists that we want away with, so in short I expect no good to come out of this new group.

The light out of the tunnel is (like the Obama administration) next time we will be smarter.

Chanina Sperlin has not done and can not to anything positive for this community. Keep him away, he is an embarrassment to this neighborhood. Now the politicians will have respect for us.

  • Time to be happy

And just to lend a little positive light to life, I wish all the new members of the Vaad hatzlacha rabbah. It is Hashem’s will that you got elected, and Hashem’s will for those who did not. Enjoy life! Everyone is exactly where they are supposed to be for the betterment of their neshamah. Let’s bring Moshiach Now!

  • we all should-ve VOTED FOR SHEA!!!

    Rabbi Shea,
You have personally helped me and so many of my pears…I really wanted you in!! Its really upsetting!

  • There-s always a next time

Just because you’re a loser this time dosen’t mean you can’t try again next time.

If this Vaad dosen’t learn from the mistakes of the last one then the next time you might be the only one in the race.

  • its over

    shea gave a good fight

i think he must step aside and not get involved with community issues. ch has spoken and they rejected him.

    case closed

  • Mushky

I wish he would have won, but he didn’t and I’m pretty happy with the new Vaad.

please stop talking from your rear end. Chanina got me a Job and got plenty other people Jobs. You want to criticise him let there be some truth in your words. Your talk is just Moitze Shem Ra and Loshan Hora.

  • R. Berl Haskelevich

In this election we saw participants, who always wanted to destroy the Beth Din, who always ignored the Elections. I remember those well, when the Rebbe gave out dollars to those who went to vote (for Rabbonim, for Community Council). Those who made obstructions, refusing to recognize the new Rabbonim (Marlow, Heller, Osdoba) or the new Vaad, refusing to hand over the keys, the bank accounts (the Rebbe criticized them sharply (“Ignoriren die bhirois???”).

They all got smarter now, and all went to vote for Shea!

They lost again, and some of them hate Crown Heights, hate 770. Read the comments, and see for yourself: they don’t feel part of CH, 770 anymore! Isn’t that sinas chinom? And you ask, what can our young learn from it?

  • Shea for 3rd Rov

Rabbi Shea you stil have a chance. Run for Rov. You have experience and come from a Rabbonim mishpocho. We need your leadership.
