Los Angeles, CA [CHI] — More than 4,000 men, women and children joined Chabad at Schneerson Square in Los Angeles. Pico Boulevard was closed between Doheny and Crest for Chabad’s massive Lag b’Omer Unity Street Fair and Concert. A project of “Chabad Youth Programs” of Chabad Of California, the festivities commenced at 10:30 am with a parade down Pico Boulevard that included flag-waving children, a real marching band and colorful parade floats built by local schools and organizations.

A 21-year-old Crown Heights Bochur died Sunday after his jet-ski collided with another near the Courtney Campbell causeway in Tampa Florida. The Bochur, Nosson N. Deitsch was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

MORRISTOWN, NJ [CHI] — A bus traveling into Crown Heights from Pittsburgh to attend the Lag BaOmer Parade was involved in what is reported to be a serious accident on the Interstate 78 in New Jersey.
Thousands of Jews gathered to take part in a community wide Parade in honor of Lag B’Omer today. All the organizations represented themselves with beautiful floats. The parade ended in the park with a carnival and a special concert featuring renowned singer Chaim Dovid.
