MONSEY — This past Wednesday night, the Cheder held its first boys 8th grade graduation. Rabbi Wolowik welcomed everyone and introduced Mendel Jacobs, a talmid of 8th grade to act as MC. The MC called upon fellow talmidim Yechezkel Gross and Mendel Klein to recite the Rebbe’s and Rebetzin’s capitel tehillim.

1. The Rebbe Chossid relationship, an exploration of the Mamer Zos Chukas with Harav Leibke Kaplan.
The public voted for the top 14 finalists who will partake in a 3 step final challenge. The third challenge, titled “The Brighter Side”, requires each contestant to take a themed original photo that can be seen in the Extended Article.
Horav Hachossid, Dr. Nissan Mindel (2nd of Nissan 5672-1912- 12th of Tamuz 5759-1999) was born in 5672-1912 on the 2nd of Nissan, in Riga, Latvia, to Horav Yaakov Yitzchak and Mrs. Bunya Mindel. At the age of fifteen, he was studying in the Yeshiva Torah Im Derech Eretz which combined Torah studies and secular subjects, and was under the direction of Horav Chaim Mordechai Hodokov. The curriculum was based on the teachings of Horav Shimshon Rafael Hirsch and encouraged the older students to continue their studies in the university and at the same time to stay connected to Torah, Mitzvos and Yiras Shomayim.

The Shluchim Office would like to join with all other shluchim in wishing a hearty Mazal Tov to Rabbi Mendy and Faigy Bitton (nee Blank) and their two children Levi Yitzchak and Chaya Mushka, who have B”H newly joined the ranks of the Rebbe’s Shluchim. Just a short while ago the recount of the election ballots was completed, and there were no changes to the outcome of the elections. The recount took place over the last two days in the conference room of the Vaad Hakohol under the eye of Rabbi Avrohom Rosenberg.
250 Shluchim and Shluchos, 300 Tzeirei Hashluchim and over 80 volunteers and staff participated in the 9th Annual Chabad on Campus Kinus Hashluchim. The Kinus is taking place over 4 days in the Hudson Valley Resort in Upstate NY.
