This Sunday night the Yeshiva Center – Chabad Headquarters of NSW held a Festive thanksgiving meal in honor of Rosh Chodesh Kislev.
Rebbetzin Batsheva Silberstein of Antwerp Belgium, passed away shabbos morning after a long illness. She was 80.
Rebbetzin Silberstein OBM and her husband sheyichye, were the 1st Lubavitcher family in Antwerp after the war, they established the 1st Chabad house that serves there until this day.

There wasn't a single person who was not moved to tears when young Shliach Moshe Cohen of Manchester, UK whose mother Esty Cohen (nee Rubin) passed away just a month ago, delivered his Dvar Torah. The crowd gave Moshe a standing ovation as he said “my mother is proud that I am carrying on my Shlichus, with a smile just as she taught me”.

Despite the chilly temperatures blowing off the New York Harbor Sunday evening, the ambience at the Gala Banquet of the International Conference of Chabad Shluchim was warm and inspired. The backdrop of the podium, designed as a brightly lit living room lined with bookshelves filled with Jewish books was meant to convey the warmth of a Jewish home. The Pier’s bare structure, beautifully transformed for the event with handsome lighting, draped walls and ceilings, was the venue for the 4500 person sit-down dinner at elegantly set candle-lit tables, capping off the five-day International Conference of Chabad–Lubavitch Emissaries.
