Everyone in the Picture: A Peek at the Group Photo!
Much has been spoken about the way the Shluchim group photo was taken this year, utilizing a different way of photographing the 4000 Rabbis in one photo, sitting in a semi-circle and combining multiple photos. CrownHeights.info is proud to bring you the first look at the results!
Rabbi Lipa Brenan said “it was decided this year to build the pyramids, on which the Shluchim stand, in a circular fashion, so that the lens of the camera can capture everyone clearly. This picture is of much importance, the Rebbe gave it a lot of attention and even expressed that he wanted 770 to be in the background.”
Rabbi Daniel Moscowitz explained “the picture was taken in eight parts over 12 minutes, with the photographer taking each slice individually. Afterwards all the parts were stitched together and made into one whole photo. The result of photographing the picture in such a fashion will be that the picture will not be round.

This is called a panorama stich available by most software given to people with a purchase of a point and shoot.
Obviously, done in photoshop with an SLR the results are, well, amazing.

i think you have to go back and relearn (assuming you have already learnt it once) Prek Bais of Shaar HaYichud V’Ha’Emunah for the true meaning of yesh ma’ayin

Very impressive – they will finally be able to actually see everyone in the photograph, I hope. The weather was great too, so it promises to be a great shot!

You do not actually feel the power of Chabad until you are at the banquet. I just blogged about my personal experience.
