Kosher Food Not Far Away at Fraternity Gatherings

For the historically Jewish college fraternity Alpha Epsilon Pi and its brothers across the nation, regional conclaves offer an opportunity to connect and build leadership skills. But because the events usually coincide with Shabbat, they also rely on many campus Chabad Houses for kosher food and traditional hospitality.

In a refreshing change of tone, an Illinois Chabad Center received approval from a village board to use a new building they acquired as a religious center through a ‘conditional use permit’. Not only did Chabad of Glenview receive approval, the board members wished them Mazal Tov and good luck with the new location.
