Cheder at the Ohel held a pre Lag’ B’omer parade today in Valley Stream, NY. With a police escort and a car playing A cappella chassidish music, the children marched from their school, down the block, holding posters describing the different mitzvots that Jews can do and posters of different Jewish seferim.

A NY Post photographer visited the Jewish Children’s Museum today to do a story on the Western Wall, which is part of the “Jewish Life Today” exhibit on the fourth floor of the museum, which is set to open in the fall of 2011.
In a letter sent out by the ‘Vaad Members – Lag B’omer Parade Committee’ they responded to the numerous calls and emails they have been receiving with concerns about the parade. In the letter they seek to clarify their positions in order to avoid any misunderstandings.
