Cheder at the Ohel Starts Lag B’Omer Early

Cheder at the Ohel held a pre Lag’ B’omer parade today in Valley Stream, NY. With a police escort and a car playing A cappella chassidish music, the children marched from their school, down the block, holding posters describing the different mitzvots that Jews can do and posters of different Jewish seferim.

The students did their best to spread the light of Torah to others with their enthusiasm and spirit marching down the streets of Valley Stream.

Arriving in front of the school the children recited the 12 pesukim with their rebbes. Back inside the students finished their school day with a farbrengen complete with nosh and stories about Shimon bar Yochai. Thank you to Rabbi Goldshmid, shaliach of Valley Steam and all the parents who contributed to the parade’s success.
