Riding a groundswell of support for the Conservative Party that will allow Prime Minister Stephen Harper to preside over his first-ever majority government, Toronto businessman and author Mark Adler won in the York Centre electoral district Monday, setting him up to become his party’s first-ever Jewish MP.

In his first radio show following the death of Osama Bin Laden, radio host Michael Savage goes on an anti-Semitic rant in a response to a caller. The caller identifies himself as a teacher in an Orthodox Jewish school, and asks Savage for advice what he should tell his students who are taught by their Rabbi’s that Jews are not supposed to rejoice upon the death of their enemies.

Maamarim with Amar on Jewish.TV

This week, Chabad.org’s video site Jewish.TV launched a new series with Rabbi Chay Amar studying the famous discourse of the Previous Rebbe entitled “Naaseh Na Aliyas Kir Ketana.” The discourse from the book known as Kuntreisim Alef is considered to be on of the fundamental “avodadikke maamarim” and provides important insight into how to pray.
