Op-Ed: Shaitels – Bottomless Money Pit, Or is it?

by Zalman H.

As a husband for over ten years now, I think I’ve learnt a thing or two about shaitels. My wife has been through three, well four if you count the one she bought when we were engaged… the one she hasn’t worn since, that’s scrunched in a bag at the bottom of a drawer somewhere. Chabad of Pacific Palisades Unleashes Hip New Look

San Francisco Chronicle

The new Chabad facility, at the foot of the Los Liones National Park and a short walk to the Pacific Ocean, has undergone a transformational face-lift to inaugurate the building in time for the Jewish New Year. Formerly a Getty Trust property, the new center and home for the Palisades Jewish Early Childhood Center (P.J.E.C.C.) is unveiling an Ed Massey designed colorburst on the Sunset Boulevard facade that will greet drivers, joggers, walkers, and Chabad visitors of all ages as they drive to and enter the premises.

Beginning Monday, men and women who, in keeping with Jewish customs regarding modesty, wish to swim separately can do so in style at “the lowest place on earth.”

London Rabbi Herschel Gluck, a follower of the Chabad Hassidic sect, does not hide his association with Iran. According to the rabbi, it is the warm relations he has with influential officials in the Islamic republic that enabled him to try and enlist Iran to aid in the release of captive soldier Gilad Shalit.

‘Son of Hamas’ Speaks at Chabad of Weston

Florida Jewish Journal

Rabbi Yisroel B. Spalter, director of the Chabad of Weston, reads questions for Mosab Hassan Yousef, who left Hamas to spy for Israel’s intelligence service.

Mosab Hassan Yousef, the oldest son of Sheikh Hassan Yousef, a founder and leader of the terrorist organization Hamas, was a key member of the movement. Yet he gave up position, power and the love of his parents to spy for the Shin Bet, Israel’s intelligence service.
