Children from the Chai Center in Canton recently buddied up with seniors from the Simon Fireman House in Randolph. The Chai Center created a Senior Buddy program that links volunteers and families with seniors to enjoy each other's companionship, participate in activities and develop ongoing relationships.

Batsheva and I were on vacation visiting the beautiful city of Venice, the place where I studied to be a Rabbi 10 years ago, and have always wanted to return and to share with my wife.

Shmulie Raskin and Levi Hecht hosted a breakfast fundraiser for Released Time in honor of Yud Shevat. The fundraiser took place in the newly dedicated Released Time offices, which were renovated by Yosef Yitzchok Popack in memory of Nosson Deitsch OBM.

Op-Ed Response: Arming Shluchim a Bad Idea
A few days ago, an article by the Algemeiner’s Dovid Efune was published on crownheights.info, advocating for Shluchim to arm themselves with firearms. The article intimated that perhaps the tragedy that took place in Mumbai in 2008, where Rabbi Gabi and Rivky Holtzberg HYD were murdered, may have been averted. The author points to recent threats discovered against Chabad Houses in Thailand and Azerbaijan, and to the fact that the previous Chabad Rebbe, Rabbi Yosef Y. Schneersohn, carried a revolver.
