Maple Street Shul Sees Difficult Past, Bright Future
The annual Melave Malka of the Maple Street Shul took place Motzei Shabbos Vayakhel-Pekudei, March 17. The hall was filled to capacity with a crowd who came to enjoy an uplifting evening benefiting the Shul. The crowd included many guests from the Crown Heights Community as well as from Boro Park, Williamsburg and Flatbush.

New Israel-Themed Playground at L.I. Chabad House
With the vision in mind, Rabbi Shalom and Sara Paltiel began to create a new Disney-like, Israel-themed, 1,800 square foot playground and cultural recreation center at Chabad of Port Washington in Long Island, NY. The new installment includes a recreational area with access to instruments, a puppet theater, a faux-marketplace, a costume area, a replica of ancient ruins, a live streaming feed of a bustling center in Israel, a camel, and a tree.
