Crown Heights [CHI] — At around 6:00 PM today, an employee at Kingston Bake Shop spotted two African-American teenagers breaking into a Jewish-owned vehicle on Crown St. between Kingston and Brooklyn Ave. When they realized they were seen, the teens fled down Kingston Avenue toward Montgomery Street.

Shomrim Chase Down Teen Who Broke into Car

Crown Heights [CHI] — At around 6:00 PM today, an employee at Kingston Bake Shop spotted two African-American teenagers breaking into a Jewish-owned vehicle on Crown St. between Kingston and Brooklyn Ave. When they realized they were seen, the teens fled down Kingston Avenue toward Montgomery Street.

Shomrim were notified of the situation, and immediately arrived at the scene – in time to apprehend one of the perps, who had fled up Montgomery St. all the way to Troy Ave.

The boy, a minor between the ages of 15-17, was held until the NYPD arrived along with the witness and the owner of the vehicle.

The boy was identified, arrested and charged with breaking into the car. He was also charged with minor possession of alcohol, since he had a bottle of wine on him.

His partner-in-crime is still at large.

    I was at the scene while the perpetrator was running down Montgomery St. When the perpetrator ran into one of the alleyways to hide, a delivery men from Pomodori pointed out the hiding place to the Shomrim!

    they are doing everyone a good deed to catch this boy. First of all, it takes a criminal off the streets where decent citizens deserve to keep their belongings. Second of all, I hope and pray that this boy gets some help and improves.

    This is racial profiling! How can you be sure the “Arfican Americans” weren’t measuring the interior of that car for information purposes? Maybe they wanted to leave a gift or use the Chitas in the car?

    It was good that at least one of the perps was caught. Next, Al Sharpton and Charles Barron will probably lead a protest march claiming racism. Wrong Sharpton and Barron, it is not racism. This perp was caught in the act, and that is all there is too it.

    I was passing by once the shomrim were waiting for the police I must say I’m very diss appointed with NYPD that it takes them so long to get to the seen

    P.S the “African America” was also barfing all over the place proving he’s was drunk.

    The kid barfed because he had never run like that in his life. He hadn’t been drinking. And the police arrived before it came over the radio. They just happened to be driving down Montgomery when shomrim had him stopped.
