                    Last weekend, the founding conference of the Forum for Young Rabbis in Europe ended. The Forum was established by the Rabbinical Centre of Europe following the request of the chief rabbis of cities and communities in Europe to form a group of young rabbis who will share experiences and will receive help in cultivating leadership and skills within the rabbinate.

The Jewish community of Hamburg, Germany marked a festive occassion with the arrival of new Shluchim Rabbi and Mrs. Shmuel Havlin and their two young sons. They will be in charge of the activities of the Chabad House and kehilla after the city’s Shliach Rabbi Yissochor Shlomo Bistritzky was appointed Chief Rabbi of the city.
 
                        
                        
                    An organization founded in 2009 to provide financial support and specialized programming for Chabad-Lubavitch emissaries raising children with special needs inaugurated its West Coast chapter with an event at the Cheder Menachem day school in Los Angeles.
More than 50 Jewish women along with 70 children participated in a unique summer camp in Zhitomir, Western Ukraine. The attendees were needy single parents and their children from 24 remote villages in the region.

A Beis Rivka school bus filled with children on their way to school this morning sideswiped a garbage truck as they were traveling alongside each other on Eastern Parkway. Thankfully no one was injured and neither vehicle sustained significant damage. Hatzalah was summoned as a precaution and ensured that all the children were okay.
