The city is overburdened with traffic as is. Garbage should be collected at night. If union fatcats don’t like it, there are plenty of unemployed people who are ready to take their job for half the salary.

Your headline “School bus and garbage truck collide” is sensationalist and totally false reporting. There was no collision.The school bus was passing the stopped garbage truck when the driver of the truck started moving the truck,resulting in the bus and truck just touching. Because of the regulations regarding school buses and sanitation dept. policy the driver of the truck couldn’t just move the truck until a supervisor arrived,and the kids on the bus had to be checked by an EMT. There was no damage at all to the truck and minor scratches to the bus. I know this as I was the bus driver.

You forgot to mention that the garbage truck was collecting garbage and the school bus tried to go around it by going up on the sidewalk slightly, and THEN got stuck.
