The Friendship Circle of West Hempstead celebrated another year of tremendous accomplishment. Over 120 volunteers were recognized and awarded at the West Hempstead Friendship Circle annual evening of recognition and awards ceremony on Tuesday, May 22. In a recent meeting between State Comptroller of Israel Micha Lindenstrauss and Rabbi Menachem Kirschenbaum, a file of documents that sheds light on the Rebbe’s involvement in events during the State’s early years was discussed as part of an ongoing project, to be completed soon, concerning the Rebbe’s involvement in major Jewish organizations such as the UJA Federation and American Jewish Congress.
