As Tishrei draws to a close, and hundreds of Bochurim make their way back to their Yeshivos, Va’ad Talmidei Hatmimim concludes a month of non-stop activity. For the first time, the Va’ad has provided accommodation for hundreds of guests and served tens of thousands of meals over the month. With all of their physical needs taken care of, the Bochurim were able to dedicate themselves to a month of learning and inspiration.

A video has recently surfaced which purports to show a previous incident of police brutality at the Aliya Institute, which was filmed by a member of the youth center in early May. The video appears to show officers using justifiable force, contrary to the allegations otherwise.

We have all heard too many sad and frightening stories about children and abuse. Whether it was by a stranger, a relative or someone the child respected and trusted, we wring our hands in despair and wish the difficult and awkward story would go away.
