This magic of light, in our mind’s eye, is the reality of the work that Chabad shluchim, emissaries, bring by sharing the messages of Torah with Jews around the world. And, the warmth of light is what washed over the community during the public portion of the July 15-16 conference in Houston of the Southern Regional Kinus Hashluchim, hosted by Chabad Lubavitch of Texas.

Bochurim Thanked for Weekly Mivtzoyim Visits

Each Friday afternoon, students of the Rabbinical College of Australia (YG-Melbourne) and Mesivtah take part in Mivtzoyim, visiting workplaces, shopping centres and offices to share a word of Torah, and to encourage their fellow Jews to fulfil an extra Mitzvah. Some students also visit patients in area hospitals and homes, offering a word of encouragement and sympathy in their time of distress.
