After the Tekios were blown, a crack was found on the Shofar’s exterior, likely rendering the Tekios heard by thousands to be insufficient for fulfillment of the Mitzvah. The question on many people’s mind was: Why wasn’t the Shofar inspected beforehand by Rabbi Avrohom Osdoba? In fact, why wasn’t he present on the Bimah during Tekios as usual?
