Chabad-Lubavitch women emissaries gather for prayer and reflection at the Ohel, the resting place of the Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, of righteous memory, in the Queens borough of New York on February 1st, 2024. The women are among the thousands of communal leaders who converged from around the world to attend the International Conference of Chabad-Lubavitch Emissaries, an annual event aimed at strengthening global Jewish awareness and practice.

In answer to one questioning the need for the Ten Commandments to include such self-evident commandments as “Thou shall not murder,” – the Rebbe explains in clear terms the critical connection between the laws of two apparently different orders: the first Commandments of the deepest truth about G-d’s Unity (true monotheism) and the other, self-evident elementary injunctions – such as not to murder and not to steal.
