21 years ago Mrs. Pesha Leah Lapine was murdered al kiddush hashem, the Rebbe took it very personally and attended her Levaya. Later the Rebbe gave over a Sicha which was seemingly more addressed to g-d rather then the people in the room.
Mikimi to Host Jazz and Comedy Show with Wine Tasting
Tuesday, February 12th Mikimi, an organization which regularly hosts creative events, will be hosting an event at the Green Building in Carroll Gardens that will include a wine tasting, full dinner buffet, and jazz, followed by a comedy show.

In our Brooklyn neighborhood, it’s said you should put your kid on a waiting list for child care while she is still in the amniotic sac. And when it comes to preschool, don’t hold your breath — unless, that is, you’ve got good connections. When it was our turn, I attended workshops on applying to preschool, toured half a dozen schools and subjected my daughter to interviews masked as “play dates” with the current students.

A new cultural center and museum memorializing 100 years of Jewish immigration to Brazil has been launched with a groundbreaking ceremony and the receipt of historic artifacts to be housed in its permanent collection.
National Guard Airman Thanks Aleph for their Support

Alternate Side Parking Suspended through Wednesday
Alternate Side Parking rules will be suspended on Monday, February 11, to facilitate snow removal and on Tuesday for observance of Lincoln’s Birthday and Wednesday for holiday observance. Payment at parking meters will be in effect throughout the city on these days.
