Nazi’s Son to Speak Tonights ULY Auction

Tonight, Lubavitcher Yeshiva Ocean Parkway is holding their annual Auction to benefit the school. Following the auction viewing a program featuring the compelling story of Dr. Dov (Bernd) Wollschlaeger, who grew up completely unaware of his father’s involvement in the murder of Jews during the Holocaust. He will be speaking at 4:15pm for men, and at 8:00pm for women.

New Edition of ‘My Prayer’ Published

Kehot Publication Society, the Lubavitch publishing house, has just released a new edition of its classic work on prayer: As for me…MY PRAYER: A commentary on the daily, Shabbat & Festival Prayers. Authored by the late Rabbi Dr. Nissan Mindel, noted scholar and prolific author, and first published in 1972, it quickly became a standard text on the Siddur.

Our Heroes: Rabbi Moshe Yehuda Hakohen Blau (1913 – 2003)

Rabbi Moshe Yehuda Hakohen Blau was born in 1913 in Hamburg, Germany to Horav Yirmiah Hakohen and Mrs. Leah Blau. When he became aware that one of the great Musar teachers, Reb Yerucham Halevi Lebowitz was the mashgiach in the Mirrer Yeshiva, he requested permission and the support of his parents to study there. In 1932 at the age of nineteen, he left Germany for Mir, Poland.
