Over 400 turned out Motzei Shabbos for a special evening for men, arranged by the PTA of Oholei Torah, who are hosting their annual auction this weekend. Attendees enjoyed a Melava Malka buffet, including fine wine, sushi and many other delicacies.

Fire Damages Postville Kosher Meat Processing Plant
Fire has damaged part of Agri-Star, a kosher meat processing plant in Postville, Iowa. The plant was formerly known as Agriprocessors; its CEO, Sholom M. Rubashkin, was sentenced to 27 years in Federal prison following a 2009 raid.
Board Approves Ohel Expansion, Demands Reduction of Hours of Operation
The New York City Board of Standards and Appeals approved a zoning variance for the expansion of Ohel Chabad Lubavitch in Queens, over the local community’s opposition. However, the approval is contingent upon several conditions, including the limiting of hours that the gravesite can be accessed by visitors.
