A fire broke out in a Montgomery Street apartment Tuesday evening, forcing the evacuation of a portion of the building. Quick response by the fire department prevented the fire from damaging additional apartments.

New Document Shows the Rebbe’s Coded Message
As reported earlier by Crownheights.info, Mrs. Shulammis Saxon, who gave the Rebbe a bracha for children ‘in code,’ before her Bas-Mitzvah in 1981, was recently interviewed by JEM’s My Encounter with the Rebbe project. She explained how the Rebbe responded in kind, writing in the same code, “Thank you for the bracha.” Now, a new development has unfolded in the 32-year-old story.

Armed Robbery Attempted in Kfar Chabad
Today, Tuesday, two unidentified masked suspects riding a motorcycle pulled up next to a vehicle being driven by the owner of a jewelry store in Kfar Chabad, Israel. The suspects fired shots into the air in an attempt to intimidate the storeowner into stopping, so that they could then rob him.
