Several buses filled with eager campers left Crown Heights last Tuesday and headed to familiar campgrounds in New York’s Catskill Mountains. With anticipation and excitement in the air, the campers were introduced to their counselors and new friends, and settled down for what promises to be the summer of a lifetime.
The Shluchim in Curitiba, Brazil put on Tefilin with Jewish men in front of the FIFA World Cup’s “Arena da Baixada,” located a short block’s distance from the Chabad House. Rabbi Fitche Dubrawsky, Rabbi Mendel Labkowski and his son Nochum invite soccer fans from Australia to stop for a few minutes and do a Mitzvah before entering the stadium to watch the match.
