NJ Legislature Declares 3 Tammuz ‘Day of Good Deeds’

On Monday, in a joint resolution, the NJ State Senate and Assembly unanimously declared July 1, 2014 as a “Day of Good Deeds” throughout the Garden State. This date was chosen to coincide with Hebrew date commemorating the 20th anniversary of the passing of Rabbi Menachem Mendel Scheerson, the most influential Jewish leader in modern history.

Rebbe’s Last Letter Revealed in Florida

Chabad of Hallendale, FL, directed by Rabbi Raphael Tenenhaus, hosted a Gimmel Tammuz gathering Monday night, with over 200 people from all over southern Broward County in attendance. Also in attendance were reporters from local affiliates of ABC, CBS and Fox News, who were there to gauge the Jewish community’s reaction to the horrific news of the murder of the three missing Israeli teenagers.
