Video: Iron Dome Intercepts Missile Above Kfar Chabad
This afternoon, a rocket fired by Hamas from the Gaza Strip was intercepted by Israel’s Iron Dome defense system in the skies above Kfar Chabad. Fragments from the rocket landed in a field in the outskirts of the town, mere yards away from residential housing.

The residents of a Crown Heights apartment building recently noticed that some of their mail was going missing from their mailboxes. This coincided with several instances of identity theft among the building’s residents, with fraudulent transactions worth tens of thousands of dollars – all of which were a huge headache and took many hours of effort to resolve.

Two beautiful wooden gazebos were recently donated by Hershey Chitrik and his mother Slava to Gan Yisroel-Parksville in loving memory of Shmuel ben R’ Aaron Chitrik, OBM, a former staff-member in camp who passed away on the 20th of Tammuz during the summer of 1987.

Jewish Community Watch Raises $100,000+
Yesterday afternoon, the anti-child-abuse organization Jewish Community Watch launched a fundraising campaign in anticipation of the relaunching of their website, with the goal of raising $100,000 in 24 hours. Barely halfway through the day, the funds were already raised.
Update: With only minutes to spare, JCW Has achieved their secondary goal of raising $150,000.

Hundreds Turn Out for Barbecue in Support of RCCS
An exciting and tasty barbecue graced East 22nd Street and Avenue I in Flatbush, in front of the home of Pinny and Yaffa Rand, yesterday, July 23rd. The event was for the benefit the Rofeh Cholim Cancer Society and their assistance to cancer-stricken patients in the Flatbush and Crown Heights communities.

Last week, a Crown Heights Jewish woman awoke in middle of the night to find a stranger standing in her bedroom. Though terrified, the woman remained calm and demanded that the stranger leave. Thankfully, the man obeyed.
