Kentucky Pro-Israel Demonstrators Put on Tefilin
A rally in support of Israel was held Sunday in Louisville, Kentucky. Local Chabad Shluchim Rabbi Chaim Litvin and his brother Shmully set up a booth at the event and helped many Jewish men put on Tefilin and gave Jewish women Shabbos candle sets.
Video: Peaceful Pro-Israel Demonstrators Attacked
A small group of pro-Israel demonstrators was violently attacked by their pro-Palestinian counterparts in front of the Calgary city hall in Alberta, Canada this weekend. The pro-Israel demonstrators were overwhelmingly outnumbered, and had to be rescued by police, but not before they were savagely beaten by the mob.

Thousands Rally in Support of Israel in Times Square
Some 3,000 gathered at the ‘crossroads of the world’, Times Square in Manhattan for a rally and show of solidarity in support of Israel. Hundreds of Israeli and American flags served as the backdrop of chants “we are Jews and we are not afraid.”

Fallen Soldier Mourned in Texas Home Town
The Jewish community of South Padre Island, Texas, is mourning the loss of native-born Sgt. Sean Carmeli, one of thirteen soldiers from the Golani brigade who died in battle overnight in the Shejaiyah section of Gaza City.

Suspect Apprehended Following Wild Crime Spree
A 30-year-old Queens man is in custody following a violent crime spree in Crown Heights. The incident began with a car-jacking on Eastern Parkway, escalating into a shooting near Kingston Avenue and ending with a home invasion on Sterling Place – where he was finally apprehended and his firearm was recovered.
13 Israeli Soldiers Killed in Gaza
The IDF announced today, Sunday, that 13 Israeli soldiers from the Golani Brigade were killed since last night in fighting with Hamas terrorists in the Gaza Strip, bringing the total number of military fatalities so far in the campaign against Hamas in Gaza to 18.

At a pro-Israel demonstration in Amsterdam’s Dam Square on Friday, local Shliach Rabbi Mendy Evers helped Jewish attendees put on Tefilin as part of the worldwide ‘Tefilin 4 Israel’ campaign. A photo of this was posted to a Dutch media website with the caption “Jewish youngsters wearing some primitive GoPro cameras on their foreheads.”

Rabbi Yossi Kaplan came home recently to find several men surveying the front of the Chabad House he runs. When asked what was going on, they replied that they were measuring. And they were doing so at the behest of local resident Dr. Gulamnabi Vahora in what was supposed to be a surprise: a newly paved parking lot.
Students Help Protect Israel with ‘Torah Dome’
Last Motzei Shabbos, due to the ongoing unfortunate situation in Israel, the Jewish community of Melbourne, Australia gathered to learn, daven and give tzedakah for the protection of Israel. Chabad Puts Earliest-Known Hebrew Print on Display
About 539 years ago, Jewish printer Abraham ben Garton ben Isaac produced a version of Rashi’s commentary on the Torah using moveable type. Two pages from this rare book are now on display at the Chabad-Lubavitch Library in Crown Heights.
