Among those brave men was a band of Shomrim volunteers from Crown Heights.

Rabbi Elie Estrin is slated to make history this week. The Chabad-Lubavitch rabbi, who co-directs the Rohr Chabad Jewish Student Center at the University of Washington in Seattle with his wife, Chaya, is set to become the first bearded chaplain in the U.S. Air Force.
