Oholei Torah Holds Auction Evening for Men
Oholei Torah PTA hosted an all men’s event benefiting their annual auction this Motzai Shabbos. The crowd enjoyed an auction viewing along with a lavish buffet dinner, sushi bar and cocktails and concluding with an inspirational speech by Gavirel Sasoon, whose seven children perished in a tragic fire.

About two weeks ago, the students of Bnos Menachem heard the shocking news that their dear Morah, Sara Deren, had suddenly passed away. “When meeting Morah Sara Deren, the first thing one noticed was her constant, kind smile and joie de vivre,” a Bnos Menachem parent said.

Four Wounded Tonight in Kiryat Gat Stabbing Attack
Security forces caught the perpetrator of a stabbing terror attack in Kiryat Gat on Saturday night, after a evening-wide manhunt for the assailant. Four locals were wounded in the attack in the southern Israeli city on Motzei Shabbos before the assailant fled the scene.

9 Kislev marks the Birth and Passing of Rabbi Dovber of Lubavitch, son of and successor to the founder of Chabad Chassidism, Rabbi Schneur Zalman·of Liadi. Just one day later, the 10th of Kislev, marks the anniversary of his liberation from Russian imprisonment. He was imprisoned for the “crime” of spreading Judaism, in defiance of the anti-Semitic government at the time.

Women Bake ‘Loaves of Love’ in Terror Victims’ Memory

Chabad of Markham Builds Kids of Character
How do you raise kids of character? How do you teach your kids the value of giving back to their community? Where can you find hands on opportunities to make sandwiches for the underprivileged in the community as a family with kids between 5 and 16 years old? Chabad-Lubavitch of Markham decided to help parents find solutions to these questions and on November 1st, 2015 launched their Tikkun Olam Program under the leadership of Mattie Schurder, youth coordinator of CLOM.

Chabad Day School Kids Build Robots and Flashlights
At the Orlando Jewish Day School (OJDS), kindergarten students build their own flashlights by soldering wires, connecting light bulbs, and adding batteries to create complete circuits. Some first graders have been drawing plans for an electric menorah in time for the Chanukah holiday, while other students carefully dissect gadgets to tinker with parts and possibly invent something new.

After spending 30 years in prison, Jonathan Pollard, an American who was convicted of spying for Israel, was released Friday morning.

3rd and 4th Arrest Following Robbery and Beating of Yeshiva Student
Two additional suspects have been arrested by police in connection with the robberies and violent beating of a Yeshiva student inside of the 749 Eastern Parkway dormitory.
