Ivanka and Jared Choose Chabad Synagogue

Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner have found a house in Washington D.C., and, more importantly, they seem to have found a synagogue as well. After weeks of house-hunting and “shul shopping,” the first daughter and son-in-law are now ready to settle down in Washington’s Kalorama neighborhood and will attend the nearby Chabad synagogue.

French Consulate Hosts Chanukah Party

Rabbi Mikhael Cohen, Founder and Executive Director of Jewish-French Community Center of New York, led a Chanukah celebration at the French Consulate in Manhattan on the fourth night of Chanukah, hosted by Consul General Anne-Claire Legendre. Present at the event were several notable leaders and dignitaries, including Rabbi Arthur Schneier, Mrs. Marion Wiesel and French Government Minister Mr. Frédéric Lefebvre.

Raksin Family Welcomes New Sefer Torah

Steady rain did not dampen the joy of completing a brand new Sefer Torah with many joining in the celebration, and dancing in the streets of Crown Heights. The new Torah was written by the Raksin family in the memory of their mother, Mrs. Yehudis Raksin OBM, who passed away on Hey Teves last year.
