Prepping for Passover From Anchorage to Zanzibar
With Passover less than a week away, Rabbi Yossi Grossbaum was on the road Tuesday evening, delivering shmurah matzah to people in his community. Grossbaum, who with his wife, Goldie, co-directs the Chabad Jewish Community Center serving Folsom, El Dorado Hills and the surrounding region in California, will spend some 50 hours getting the round, handmade matzah to area residents before the holiday begins this Friday night, March 30.

The air was filled with the excited talk of exploration and the unknown as we prepared to board our flight to Alaska. The group of 21 college students gathered at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport had a distinct mission: to embrace and explore their Jewish heritage and to satisfy a thirst for greater knowledge. Lubavitch HS girls Embark on Recording Stories of the Rebbe
Students in Lubavitch High Schools have undertaken a new initiative – to document and share women’s stories of The Rebbe. Titled “Our Story,” this grassroots project is being done in conjunction with JEM’s “My Encounter” and over the past six weeks dozens of story’s – mostly from grandmothers, mothers and relatives – have been already been recorded.
MyShliach Regional Shabbaton Roundup
Over the past six weeks, MyShliach brought their “Regional Shabbatons” project to three new regions, bringing together 174 yaldei hashluchim from 79 cities in five countries in a series of eight regional shabbatons for a weekend of fun, chassidishkeit and camaraderie.
