With great sadness we report the untimely passing of Miriam Shmueli OBM, a ba’alas chesed who helped many mothers before, during and after giving birth. She passed away on Shabbos, the 8th of Iyar 5780, after battling an auto inmune disease for the past few months.

This past week was incredibly challenging for our family. As I have shared, my first cousin Rabbi Benny Wolff, Chabad rabbi in Hanover, tragically passed away at the young age of 43 from COVID-19. He left behind his wife, Sternie, eight young children and a devastated community. And then a glimmer of light shone through.
In 1970, a group of enterprising Yeshiva students set up a broadcast of the Rebbe’s Farbrengen to be heard live in Israel. The initiative grew over the years, eventually broadcasting audio, and later video, of the Rebbe’s Farbrengens to over 600 locations around the world.
