JLI has released another video titled: Inviting God into Our World, When beautification is divine. How G-dliness is mirrored seemingly even in the lowest parts of this world.
The Chabad connection behind Israels’ recent Lunar launch goes back to Soviet times, and trails through a Chabad family. The story ends with a mathematical engineer, who is now guiding the lander as it travels through space on its’ 8 week flight.
Dans Place, a restaurant staffed by adults with special needs, is open for dinner once a month at Chabad of Poway. Through being responsible for its management, the hosts are taught skills for greeting, serving, cooking,and clearing. Green heads up a staff of volunteers, including executive chef Amy Nisen, who are paired up with each host to help guide and train them.
Two weeks ago, Rabbi Mendel Baumgarten was niftar. During shiva, his family shared many stories about his life and accomplishments, and his unique relationship to the Rebbe, which began during the lifetime of the Frierdiker Rebbe. We will share one of those incidents.
Rabbi Jacob Goldstein, a Chabad rabbi, served as rabbi and colonel in the US Army. Now his grandson, Joesph Brikman from crown Heights serves as religious paratrooper in the IDF’s Chetz brigade.
