At around noon on Friday, two men entered Responsible Liquor on Empire Boulevard; the owner noticed that their behavior was suspicious and furtive, so he kept a close eye on them. Sure enough, one of them slipped a bottle of expensive tequila under his coat and they both ran out of the store.

He was present at the historic event when a group of elder chasidim petitioned the Rebbe to accept the leadership of Chabad-Lubavitch, which the Rebbe had previously declined to do.
