With sadness we report the passing of beloved Chossid Rabbi Shimon HaKohen Friedman, OBM, at the age of 78. Rabbi Friedman was affectionately called “Shimon HaTzaddik” – a title widely believed to be given to him by the Rebbe.

Brazilian City Awards Shliach ‘Diploma of Honor’

The founder of Chabad Lubavitch of Porto Alegre, Brazil, Rabbi Mendel Liberow, was honored on Tuesday, April 3 at the City Hall. By proposal of Assemblyman Adeli Sell, Rabbi Liberow received the diploma of Honor during the occasion, which is directed by the Legislative President of the Capital, Assemblyman Mauro Zacher.

Pomodori Will Be Open on Motzei Yomtov (ad)

Pomodori Pizzeria has announced that they will open their doors to the Chometz starved public at 10:45 PM Motzei Yom Tov. Due to high demand, the restaurant will only be serving pizza and french fries, but they hope to be back on the full menu by Sunday at noon. The very first pies were already sold at the KSCVK men’s Chinese auction.
