CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn — A teenage girl was arrested on Wednesday in the fatal stabbing of her 16-year old cousin in her family’s apartment in Crown Heights the day before, the authorities said.The girl, Tiana Browne, 15, of East 21st Street in Brooklyn, is being charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon in the killing of Shannon Braithwaite, the police said.
Shannon’s mother, Marva Braithwaite, discovered her daughter’s body about 4:30 p.m. near the entrance of their apartment on Empire Boulevard near Troy Avenue. When she tried to open the door, the path was blocked by her daughter’s body.
