Bozeman-based rabbi reaches out to Jews across state

The friendliness Rabbi Chaim Bruk has encountered in Montana has made his move to the state an easy one.

Finding kosher food has been a bit tougher, but he and his wife, Chavie, haven’t let that stop them from settling into Bozeman.

“I bought a house, and we’re here for life,” Bruk, 25, said in a recent interview.

Hours before their son, HaTomim Menachem Mendel Moshiach OBM’s Levaya, his parents took a brave step and called to all Chasisdim: “Please, strengthen in Achdus [unity] amongst ourselves!”

A young Bochur Chaim Menachem Mendel Moshiach Of Blessed Memory, 13 years old, passed away this Friday. Two weeks ago he was hospitalized after having a sudden heart attack and his condition had been deteriorating ever since, many Minyanim all over the world were saying Tehillim for him.

Thursday night the doctors summoned his parents and informed them of a serious deterioration in his condition and Friday afternoon 1 PM he passed away.

Today: Siyum Sefer Torah in Crown Heights

On Sunday, July 1, 2007 there will be a Hachnosas Sefer Torah in memory of Harav Shneur Zalman HaLevi Shagalov whose 1st yartzeit is Chof Alef Tammuz.

The writing of the final letters of the Sefer Torah will take place from 1:00 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Esther Shagalov, 820 Eastern Parkway followed by a joyous procession at 3:00 p.m. to the “Reb Zalman Shagalov Shul”, 499 Crown Street.
