The last letters will be filled at 4:00 p.m. in home of Rabbi Junik at 1366 Carroll St. [btw. Kingston Ave. & Brooklyn Ave.] And this will be followed by the procession leading the Torah to the Shul.
Today there was no parking on President St. between Kingston Ave. & Brooklyn Ave. all cars on that block have been towed to random locations. If you had your car parked there and it was towed, it would be a few blocks over at the most.
If you still can’t find your car call 311 and they will assist you. For future information when you see a sign that says “No Parking Thursday” it means from 12:00am Thursday and not Thursday morning.
The reason there is no parking on President St. is for building and parking the Sukkah Mobiles.

One of our worst thief’s is on the loose once more. As we have reported about him in the past [Story 1 and Story 2 and Story 3].
He is on the loose once more and was already spotted returning to his old habits of looking into cars and the likes.
His release right now, Erev Sukkos, is particularly troubling due to the fact that people have their Sukkos open to the street. So all residents please take care and don’t leave anything of value in your Sukkos.

A crowed gathered outside 770 and is voicing their objection to this ‘profiling’. Still just wear your seat belt and don’t talk on your cell phone when driving, and just avoid all this.
For all those of you who shop at The ‘Shuk’ at the time alternate side parking regulations are in affect; it is illegal to double park in front of Shuk, and that goes for the rest of East New York Ave as well. You are not aloud to double park on a 2 way street. And for general information Union St. behind 770 [between Brooklyn Ave. & Kingston Ave.] is a grey area since there is a school on the block they can ticket you for double parking.
A double parking ticket is $115 but if you forget to move your car for alternate side parking its $45.
Not knowing the law doesn’t make you exempt from it, so park properly.
As some of you know there is a tailor that worked on Lefferts Ave. on the corner of New York Ave. next door to the Mosdos Day Care Center, well he seems to have skipped town.
One of our readers emailed me telling me that he went there earlier this week to pick up some things he left there and found the place closed and what seems like for renovations so he went and asked around as to what has happened to him and how to get his cloths back.
Apparently he skipped town and moved [or went] to Georgia stranding all his customers with out their cloths.

I managed to speak to this tailor [I didn’t even get his name] and he told me that he moved to Georgia but still needs to move all his stuff from here, so he will be here for about 2 weeks starting this coming Monday Sep. 26 and everyone will be able to get their goods from him.
ALBANY — With the state Senate preparing to pass legislation next week capping the sales tax on gasoline, an influential assemblyman yesterday warned about “knee-jerk” responses to skyrocketing gas prices.
“Nothing could be worse than to move forward in a stampede for political expediency and come out with less than effective results for the consumers,” Assembly Energy Committee Chairman Paul Tonko (D-Schenectady) said, as he kicked off hearings on gas and home-heating fuel pricing.
During yesterday’s hearing, SUNY Albany economist Kajal Lahiri predicted that removing taxes will increase fuel consumption, which he said could lead to even higher gas prices.
