Precinct Council Meeting – LET’S TRY THIS AGAIN!

As many residents know, the last 71st Precinct Council Meeting did not go very well. There will be another meeting this 7:30 PM Thursday night, (Yud shevat, Jan 17th) we urge all members of the community to come again to the meeting to express our security concerns.

Following last months meeting (before the precints own follow-up meeting—to do some damage control—with selected members of the community) The Jewish Leadership Council sent the attached letter to Inspector Vega and various other officials within the NYPD.

The gracious staff at Judaica World have been inundated with customers walking in for the express purpose of purchasing tickets. Those who already bought theirs were wise, for they had the best choice of various seat locations and price ranges. There are still plenty of tickets left, but they are moving fast.

Alternate Side Parking Rules Suspended Tuesday

Alternate side parking (street cleaning) regulations are suspended on New Year’s Day, Tuesday, January 1, for holiday observance. Because New Year’s Day is a major legal holiday, parking meter regulations are also suspended.

On major legal holidays, stopping, standing, and parking are permitted, except in areas where stopping, standing, and parking rules are in effect seven days a week (for example, “No Standing Anytime”).
