There will be Melava Malka rally at the Ohel this Motzoi Shabbos, Tu B’Shvat, January 30th. The rally will be for all children ages 5 to 12. Buses leave 770 at 7:00 and return at 9:00. There will be a special program in honor of Tu B’Shvat.

At 1:30 AM on Tuesday Jan 19, 2010 – Gimmel Shvat in the Hebrew calendar, our father, Rabbi Yosef Tevel passed away. He was 55 years old and it was his birthday. His sudden death, caused by a bursted blood vessel in his brain has left us in complete shock.
Tonight, the 5th of Shvat, Wednesday there will be a seminar on dealing with tragedies and death. How community members should respond to tragedy. It is titled “Tragedies in our Midst – The Yiddishe Response.” The seminar will begin 8:00 pm at Beis Rivka, 470 Lefferts Ave [corner Brooklyn Ave].
Alternate side parking (street cleaning) regulations will be suspended today, Monday, January 18 for observance of Martin Luther King, Jr.’s birthday. All other regulations, including parking meters, remain in effect.
