As the wind blew through Crown Heights last night, the FDNY were there protecting the Shchunah’s residents. As a safety precaution, they tore down the outdoor seating area erected outside Basil. From the photo, we are sure you can see why.
Sometimes people can accomplish things based on pure talent, other times it requires a helping hand, or bumper. This driver managed to get both their front wheels in the air after getting into a crash at an Empire Blvd intersection.

A piece of Crown Heights history is coming down today as crews at the corner lot on Crown Street and Troy Ave take down the multi story abandoned building that has stood since the mid 1900’s. In it’s place, a new multi use building is planned to be built.
