My Encounter with the Rebbe recently interviewed Dr. Louis Teichholz, a cardiology specialist from Mount Sinai Hospital who was among the first to attend to the Rebbe following his 1977 heart attack. Among the many anecdotes he discussed during his interview, Dr. Teicholz related that as he spent time with the Rebbe, the Rebbe became his friend. His doctor-patient relationship with the Rebbe developed into much more, and for many years afterward, even after the Rebbe fully recovered, he would come to 770 to visit the Rebbe.
