Tragedy in Eilat – 3 Bochrim Killed on Way to Mivtzaim

The tidings of the tragic event in Eilat has shocked and bewildered Chabad communities in Israel, shocked at the results of the fatal accident claiming the lives of three Chabad bochrim on their way to mivtzaim in Eilat. Additionally, four other bochrim were hurt at the Tsichor – Eilat intersection. One of the injured bochrim was flown to the Soroka Hospital in Beer Sheva and had managed to speak to his parents before he was operated on.

DETAILS OF THE CASUALTIES:

■ THE TOMIM LEVI HENDEL, A’H, OF MIGDAL HAEMEK, 14 YEARS OLD, STUDENT OF SHIUR ALEPH OF TOMCHEI TEMIMIM IN LOD, SON OF RABBI YISROEL YOSEF HENDEL, RABBI OF THE CHABAD COMMUNITY OF MIGDAL HAEMEK. HIS LIVAYA IS TAKING PLACE TOMORROW IN MIGDAL HAEMEK.

■ THE TOMIM YONATAN BITON, A’H, OF ASHKELON, 17 YEARS OLD, STUDENT OF TOMCHEI TEMIMIM IN KIRYAT GAT. YONATAN,A’H, AN DHIS FAMILY ARE PART OF ANASH IN ASHKELON. HE WAS A FORMER STUDENT OF CHABAD INSTITUTES: TOMCHEI TEMIMIM OF NACHALAS HAR CHABAD AND TOMCHEI TEMIMIM OF LOD AND OF KIRYAT GAT.

■ THE TOMIM MOSHE GOLA, A’H, OF YERUSHALAYIM, 17 YEARS OF AGE AND STUDENT OF SHIUR ALEPH OF THE TOMCHEI TEMIMIM YESHIVA OF KIRYAT GAT, SON OF MRS. DANIELA GOLAN, DIRECTOR OF THE ‘OR CHAYA’ ACADEMY IN YERUSHALAYIM. HIS LIVAYA WILL SET OUT AT 11:00 O’CLOCK FROM THE SHAMGAR BURIAL HOME IN YERUSHALAYIM.

He is known as Derrik Nelson, he is the perpetrator behind dozens upon dozens of car break-ins causing damages in the tens of thousands of dollars to cars in our community along with the added aggravation and inconvenience of needing to fix the damage. Due to the nature of the crime which is classified as a GLA (Grand Larceny Auto) which is a crime that carries a little if any jail time.

Shomrim are out every night patrolling our streets but they still need the publics help, if you see him call the Shomrim hotline at (718) 774-3333 at anytime to alert patrolling members to keep an extra eye on him and prevent this slew of break-ins.

The Margolin Family is sitting shiva following the passing of their dear father HaRav Moshe Eliezer ben Aaron Eliyahu.

He is survived by daughters Aidle Backman (Monsey, NY), Chana Solomon (Boro Park, NY), Leah Tropper (Monsey, NY), and sons Rabbi Aron Meir Margolin (Norfolk, VA), and Rabbi Chaim Zushe Margolin (North Miami Beach, FL).

They will be sitting until Monday morning. Aron Meir Margolin and Leah Tropper accompanied the mais to Eretz Yisroel, Aidel and Chana are each sitting at their homes and Chaim Zushe is sitting now through Thursday morning in Crown Heights at the home of the Liebermans, 724 Eastern Parkway. Thursday Mincha through Monday morning he will be in N. Miami Beach, FL at 960 NE 172 nd Street.

The article tells the story of the Arizal diverting a plague of locusts. The plague was decreed because a certain unfortunate individual complained about his bitter lot, and no one came to help him. The plague was diverted when the students of the Arizal came to help the individual – just in time!
